I love this series so so much. It sings to my soul.
It took me a while to start this one, since I knew Tommy‘s story would deal with some heavy issues. I cried, of course. But I also was incredibly happy when he finally accepts the help offered by the incredible women in his life. Found family rocks.

If you liked the previous installments, this one won't disappoint. As the other books in this series, it's a cute romance with interesting subjects and important representation. It was a bit slower than the previous book, but I still really enjoyed it.

Tommy wants to stay sober and focus on his job, but his family has sent his alcoholic cousin to live with him to try out, which is pulling his focus away from what matters. Then Elizabeth show up, Tommy's boss's niece. Elizabeth recruits Tommy to help her on a crusade for her grandmother and Tommy's focus is pulled in too many directions. Can he find balance in his life?

I enjoyed this book just as much as I've enjoyed the other 2 in the series. They are all fast and sweet romances, but ones that don't shy away from real world problems. I like watching the couples try to find the right balance in their lives. In this book, I loved Elizabeth's grandma and her story as well. It centered around Native American artifacts being displayed in museums curated by white people instead of those artifacts being taken care of by the people who's ancestors created those artifacts.

Recommended to: anyone who likes quests that throw people together, anyone looking for #ownvoices stories by Indigenous authors
