Man oh man was this book a roller coaster of emotions. The banter between Jude and Cardin was bantering. The way Madoc was able to hold his rage so that he could strategize against Jude was pretty impressive. Also really intrigued by Grimsen because whose side is he really on? I think he is rooting for Jude personally, but I could be wrong. Can’t wait to read the final book of this trilogy in fact imma start it rn.

Don't trust fancy events in a Folk of Air book, they never end well
(you might end up gettting kidnapped, poisend or killed)

This book was better than the first one. Lots of political intrigue, general mysteries, and betrayals. It is Y/A but also not. There is more romance in this one compared to the first book, but nothing explicit by any means.

I really like Jude as a character and think she’s grown a lot and continues to grow throughout these books. She is very independent and doesn’t typically make decisions based on emotion, which is very different than a lot of fantasy romance characters.
