I didn't know the story of Mary Flora Bell. It is a sad story though it did bring up the point that people can change. It also brings up how a child's environment and early experiences can shape them. My heart broke often in reading this.

Meh

It wasn’t very good. Felt all over the place and the story could’ve been told in a much better fashion.

While the story itself is horrifically fascinating, this was terribly written. I forced myself to finish it but someone needs to go back and edit this because some sentences didn’t make sense, there was typos everywhere and it was just really cringe worthy. It took away from the stories to be honest.

I felt like this was written like a school essay. Sentence structure would seem off at times or the author would occasionally draw parallels to other killers that didn't quite work and then jump back into telling the story of Mary Bell. I think her story is interesting, but I think it could be told in a much better and more effective way.

Enjoyable quick read

Enjoyed this short book on Mary Bell. It is written in an engaging style. I also enjoyed the bonus material as well, especially about Richard Ramirez. Looking forward to reading other works by the author.

This is one of my favorite true crime stories, and I like the details of this story. But wow could it use an editor.

And major CW for a passage where the author denies Mary can be a virgin because of her childhood sexual abuse. So..........yeah.
