Really enjoyed it but there was some bits I misread and I would get confused by it, so this is something to reread next year.

So much more could have been done with these themes - I was expecting a lot more. Humanity to this story. We all know men can be predators, and a book about substantially finding justice appealed to me.

Other than one situation, the killing seemed chaotic and with little intention. I know some mentioned a female Dexter, and I haven't seen this show, but I believe he is more thoughtful about his killings.

Kitty should have been caught a million times over - that took me away from the story. There was no thought into how the police would honestly react and how Kitty would have been a suspect in real life. But she was genuinely being overlooked on purpose.

Then, the ending made this story seem less stepped-in and more of a fantasy because we are trying to build a world where Kitty can go around killing the way she did and not get caught. I call bullshit on that.

So, I had an issue with this book mainly because the belief was a no for me.

This audio book was great, but it was a bit more graphic than I expected. I'm not squeamish or easily offended but I would definitely recommend caution with this book if you are. I don't know if the physical book has a Trigger Warning, but I definitely feel like one is needed especially with the graphic depictions of violence and SA that take place through out the story.

Edit: Since my original review I was able to get a pysical copy of this book. There is no trigger warning in the physical copy either. Because of there being no trigger warning in the physical book I feel like 3 stars is too generous; I therefore made the decision to drop my review down to 2 stars.
