A Week in New York by Louise Bay

Anna has crap taste in men so when Ethan comes along and hits on her, she knows that her luck hasn’t changed and he will probably be a crappy boyfriend after three months or so of dating so she decides to just have a one night stand for a week long with him while she is stateside with certain rules. Ethan, on the other hand, has rules of his own, and agrees that a week with Anna will get her out of his system.

Their connection was almost instant and their time together was unbelievably hot. Spoiler alert: when it came time for Anna to go home, it was so sad to see them part. Both knew that there was something more but never had the guts to say it.

I wait to get my hands on the second installment; Ethan goes to London!

I don't really read these books for the plot, if you know what I mean, so I don't really care that the plot was bad and made very little sense. I thought the sex was weird as hell though. When authors call body parts weird ass names it really throws me off, and I found myself giggling at the way things were described way too often to actually be into this.

That one reading tinder app called Likewise recommended this to me and I will therefore be deleting the app.

Even though it has all the usual things going on, a bit of Christian Grey, a bit of unspoken angst, etc...it actually was pretty great because apart from the fact that it was hot as hell, it didn't fall into the usual drama, there were not misunderstandings, there were not unwanted pregnancies...it was ideal but it didn't follow "the script" that most writers seem to stick to nowadays.

I enjoyed One Week in New York way more than I thought I would. Because it was the first of three novellas I knew it might not end with happily ever after yet, but I really wanted it to. It is odd since most of the story is sexy time, but I wanted these two to be together forever. So good job to the author for making me really care about the characters so much in such a short amount of time.

Ethan is a workaholic who doesn't want a relationship. He has never had a girlfriend and he wants nothing to do with one. He has rules like no sleeping over, no taking a girl back to his place, no exchanging phone numbers, etc. He has sex and that is it. No more. He is upfront about that with the women he sleeps with, but that doesn't always mean they don't want more.

Anna is in New York for a week with a friend after her last boyfriend disaster. She doesn't seem to pick good guy and she is tired of being disappointed. She has decided no more men, at least for now. She just cannot do it all again. Then she meet Ethan and she tells him this is only sex. No relationship, no feelings, no promises that get broken, nothing like that. It seems perfect for them.

Of course the one night no strings turns into one week no string attached. The more they spend time together the more they like the other person. Only problem is Anna lives in London, Ethan in New York. A relationship would never work between them.

This was a fun read. Yes it is a lot of sexy time, but as I said before I really want these characters to be together forever. I want their happily ever after! The end of this part is a little open so I need to go read part two now to see what happens!

This is quite a quick read as it is a novella, the first in a three part series of novellas.

I absolutely loved this story! I devoured it in one sitting and immediately messaged the author saying I was desperate for part 2! But I will come to that shortly.

Anna isn't looking for romance, she is fed up being lied to and having her heart broken. She just wants to have a bit of fun for a change so jumps at the chance to jet off to New York with her friend.

Ethan doesn't do love or romantic ties either. He lives his sexual life with strict rules which he adheres to all the time.

When Anna and Ethan meet they both know immediately where they stand. A bit of fun, a holiday thing, and that's that. Or is it?

This is a hot story but one which actually has a decent story to go with it. So many erotic books rely mainly on the sex scenes to pull readers in. Yes this one does have great sex scenes, but it also has a story which held my attention.

The ending of the story left me desperate for book 2 as it includes a little bit from the start of book 2! Oh my goodness it really sets the scene well for the next part. Bring it on!!

Loved it, would recommend it to anyone who likes a hot quick read, and I can't wait for the next part. Did I mention that already??

First, let's begin by saying this series of 3 novellas is HOT. Like steam the windows, don't read in public unless you have a great poker face deliciousness. Overall it works well for the story and the characters without being detrimentally gratuitous. Anna and Ethan meet in a bar while Anna is visiting New York City from London with a friend. It is insta-lust for them. He is a serial one night stand kind of guy and she is not interested in more after a series of terrible relationships. The sparks fly and both are smitten from the beginning. As the story progresses, these 2 characters are drawn to one another even though they fight it over and over again. No spoilers here, you need to see where the story takes them.

This book is a delightful mix of American and British phrases and culture that make me want to go back to London. If only reality was as delicious as fiction, both with regards to travel and romance. For now, you'll be swept away by this page turner series, rooting for our leading characters from start to finish. This series is another amazing story from Louise Bay.

Anna needs a vacation after her last failed relationship and spending it in New York with her best friends seems to be exactly what she needs. However, when a one night stand presents itself in the form of sexy Ethan she decides as long as she has rules she won't get hurt and it might just be what she needs. Ethan has his own set of rules that he doesn't get attached and that it's just one night. Neither one is ready to walk away in the morning and what turns into a whirlwind week leaves them both not ready to let it end. Anna is returning to England which may just be the distance she needs from Ethan.

I like Anna she's got issues, had her share of bad relationships even if she tends to be a magnet for the bad guys but she's sweet. I like Ethan he's your good guy who just happens to avoid commitments so one night stands just happens to be his escape. Anna and Ethan have this sweet steamy chemistry together while it may just be a week together deep down I can tell they won't be able to let the distance separates them.

This one has been on my kindle for years and I forgot it was there until I tried to purchase it again. I was craving a quick steamy whirlwind romance and it's exactly what it delivers. I'm not a huge fan of the player concept but I'm seeing it more and more recently in books and it works with A Week in New York. I really felt that I was able to connect with Anna because like her for a long time I was a magnet for bad relationships. I love that she didn't let it bring her down and keep going. That she was daring enough to take the chance even after everything. This is my first book by the author and I can't wait to finish the series and check out her other books. High recommend if you need a quick steamy romance.
