Here is what Amazon said (I am really behind on blogging from working so much)

Fight Club's estranged narrator leaves his lackluster job when he comes under the thrall of Tyler Durden, an enigmatic young man who holds secret after-hours boxing matches in the basement of bars.  There, two men fight as long as they have to.

This was an interesting book.  I saw the movie years ago and never did read the book.  It is a short book and a quick read.  Since I knew what was going on - the "shock" of the story, I didn't get much out of its reveal.  The main character always seems dirty to me - I hate characters like that.  Just gritty, unwashed, down on their luck characters don't draw me in.  Overall - an interesting read.

First rule of fight club is that you don't talk about fight club, that's very convenient because I have no idea what I read. I'm scared to order food now, do waiters really do such things?? The idea of splicing weird scenes into movies is interesting

I have no idea how to rate this book. I think Dostoyevsky did this better for me, but I still think this is a good book. But I don't know what the message is or what to make of the ending at all.

I actually liked it more than I thought I would. I love a good unreliable narrator! I do think that the alter ego/double-personality concept is a little too complex to tackle in such a short book. I can see why a lot of people favor the movie to the book because the premise of the novel works better with cinematic elements.
