*Disclaimer* I read this book before I learnt about the hate given towards this series and the author. I understand people's qualms with it, but to be honest, I loved this so much.

This book is the start of such a special series. I had so much fun reading this book whilst on a road trip. Feyre was an interesting protagonist, the story was interesting, and this was the first book I ever read with fae so they were new and exciting. In my opinion, Maas writes fae the best out of every other author.

I love this book. I love this series. I understand the downsides, but it's simply downright fun and good writing.

call me basic, the hype was real!!!! a fun read!!!!

i will say feyre is hard to understand as a character, there were some sliiiightly questionable moments of sexuality, the phrase “my bowels turned watery” was used at least three times, some plot constructions were way too convenient, and i have no concept of how much time passed (was it like 2 months or 2 years ???)

Honestly, based on all of the hype, I expected better. This seemed overly written and overly dramatic. The main relationship didn't work for me. Super gruesome. Interesting story, just not my vibe, I guess.
