Everyone praises this book but it was all just okay to me. The stories were interesting but also extremely repetitive and the writing was nothing special.

I’d never heard of Jennette McCurdy or been much in to memoirs as a genre, so I’m not sure why I thought I’d give this a go, but I’m immensely glad that I did.
Jennette has a relatable and immersive way of writing, and she captures each character, setting and emotion so succinctly that you feel you know her as a close friend from only a few pages in. It takes immense bravery and vulnerability to allow the world in to your most private thoughts like this, and Jennette never flinches or backs down. I will recommend this book to anyone who will listen, and quite a few who won’t.
