A funny, light-hearted, and surprisingly soothing read. Exactly appropriate for the length of one wonderful bath or hiding-in-the-bathroom session.

I’ve just discovered Joe Pera while on a trip to Florida visiting friends and was excited to find this in the guest bathroom.

A fun, pleasant read, that’ll probably have more of an unexpected emotional impact to some at certain points. The illustrations were great!

I did enjoy this but was hoping for it to be funnier!

Still, a sweet book which garnered a few, light chuckles.

*A partial review copy of this book was given by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

From the 10 pages I've received, I really enjoyed it. The illustrations were incredible, especially the tiles in the bathroom and that gorgeous lake is still on my mind. It's a cosy read, and it shows how different people use the bathroom as a way to escape - to freshen up, to hide, to motivate themselves.

The review copy ends with an illustration of Lake Ontario which feels so peaceful and calm, especially with the text that seems to give a background of the rest of the story (if there is one, which I'm not sure of).

Despite it being such a short read, I enjoyed it and will read it again for the illustrations and a moment of peace.
