Part 3 could have been edited down because it was too long with some pointless parts. Overall, I really enjoyed the book.

While reading this story, sometimes I felt like I was wading through molasses, and other times I felt like I was flying along. The uneven speed of the plot was frustrating. The plot and the twists were good and there were some surprising ones, but this book took too long to get through. It was very Dickensian and the characters and setting were engaging. I just wish that the plot had chosen a consistent pace at which to run.
