'Anything is Possible' is a series of short stories about people who have a connection with Lucy - mostly people who live in her home town. One story in the middle of the book involves Lucy going back to see her siblings for the first time in 17 years, and she is mentioned in all the other stories.

The stories explore all kinds of relationships, poverty, abuse, life in a small town (and those who manage to escape).

It's another quiet, understated book and I rate it 4

ou ever try a book after liking its predecessor and find that you're trying to convince yourself this is good too? Hi, that's me with Anything is Possible.

So many of our patrons snatch up the newest Elizabeth Strout when it hits the shelves, but now I'm wondering if I should ask them what they thought of this one. Lucy by the Sea has had nothing but rave reviews from everyone who returns it.

To go on, or not to go on.
