I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. This is not in my typical genre, so I went into it with an open mind. I found parts of the book funny. While I am not anxious to read the rest of the series I can appreciate this book as a stand alone title.

I thought it was finally time to read HITCHHIKER’S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY! I listened to the audiobook read by Stephen Fry and he was just fantastic and made me laugh out loud a few times.

This book isn’t totally my thing, so I think I *respected* it more than I *enjoyed* it, if you know what I mean, but I’m really glad to have read it.

My friend described this as the funniest book ever written...boy where. Where was the humour? None of the jokes or situations landed as being comical whatsoever. Same feeling as good omens with worse pay off. I think I might just not vibe with british humour: building up this elaborate side story that interrupts the plot for no reason, to then attempt and tell a joke with no punch line.....It never landed for me.
