This is a really quick and easy book to read. The plot and characters are enjoyable but I think the nature of having it written as short passages from each person means that nothing is fully explored and I also saw it as a way for the author to get out of writing proper descriptive scenes. The characters are very likeable and funny and the overall plot is interesting. I was going to the give the book 4 stars as I was expecting something more from the ending but it sort of just fizzled out which is why I knocked it down

I mean, what a story! The drama of a super famous 70s rock band is such an inherently interesting topic, and then you add the framing device of the story being told through interviews with the members? So fascinating! The way the interpersonal drama unfolds is so much fun to read. This is also a great book to listen to as an audio book if your version has different narrators for the different characters, because that truly brings the interviews alive.

Basically, this book has a lot of the stereotypical "rock star lifestyle" and people struggling with it, so drugs and alcohol are heavily present. Plus some stuff about what it's like to be a young woman in a world where a lot of men are willing to take advantage of her in multiple ways.
