Finally, a historical romance where the female lead isn't totally oblivious to how sex works. It was kind of refreshing. Some passages were a bit melodramatic, but I think it comes with the genre. Other than that the book wasn't really noteworthy in many ways. I'm sure I'll forget all about the story in no time, but an okay experience while reading, and sometimes that's just what you need.

Oh, my, what an AMAZING read. The characters are so vibrant they practically jump off the page. Loved the hero and heroine. The plot is intriguing and the book is well written
If you are looking for an emotionally- charged romance that will leave you wanting more, then this is a book you will want to read. I must read the other books by this talented author. Happy reading!

I thought their relationship was a little forced at times. My least favorite of the series but still a good one.

Well, I really didn't like it.

Hero was a hypocritical bag of shit who in no way deserved the heroine. He has no perspective on himself, all his lying and manipulation... and he never gets it. He simply condescends to accept the heroine.

And the heroine was a spineless bowl of jelly, who should have kicked that judgmental asshole to the curb.

Leigh threw a bit of a curveball for the final book in the Wicked Quills series, but it worked out so well, especially since it became clear that the first two books served to lay a lot of groundwork for this one.

Wallflower Lady Sarah is happily resigned to her single status, especially since all the eligible young men sent her way bore her to tears. Little do those who pity her know that she has an exciting other life as the Lady of Dubious Quality, infamous writer of scandalously erotic novels. Vicar Jeremy Cleland would never admit that he's a fan of the Lady of Dubious Quality, but when his father sets him the task of unmasking the writer of these dangerous works, Jeremy has to confront his true feelings and how to stay true to himself despite outside pressures.

It was refreshing to have a story about a heroine who was a virgin where her hero was nearly as inexperienced as her. Watching them learn together was so refreshingly honest. In many ways this story took what worked in the previous books and flipped it on its head in a delightful way. I'll definitely plan to read more from this author.
