i was SUPER intrigued by this book in the beginning. i thought the characters were so cool and the world was so cool. as the book went on it just went in a totally different direction that i didn’t love. however it was a really good book and well written and i definitely enjoyed it. it sounds like i didn’t like it bc of what i just said, but i really did lol. i’m excited for the next books, and i hope ill like them even more! the main reason i dropped a star was the relationship. the instalove was strong in this one imo.

I kept hearing good things about this book so I decided to read it.
I am disappointed because I didn't like this as much as everyone else liked it.

The beginning started off good but then after a few chapters in I thought it was getting slow and boring. It would have been better without the long flashback and the action was limited to the beginning and the end so that is why I am giving it 2 stars.

Disappointing. I had such high hopes for this book. <\b>

It started out quite well and really promising.

Then came the sequence of broken and confusing chapters with a lot of time and character jumps without any warning.

Then ending saves this book and sets up an interesting sequel. I hope book 2 is absolutely amazing, otherwise, I'll have to DNF the series.
