I fell in love with the cunningness of Lila!
The characters were all well crafted and had a complexity to them. The worlds were beautifully presented with a lot of details so I could imagine myself walking along the red river or through the White Castle. Cannot wait to read the rest of the series!

i’m not sure if i plan on continuing the series right now, since the ending of this was absolutely perfect and i feel like continuing might ruin that but i loved this book regardless.

Nachdem ich "Vicious" so grossartig fand, ergab es sich kurzfristig, dass ich mich gleich auf eine andere Reihe derselben Autorin stürtzen durfte.
Auch dieses Buch ist sehr phantasievoll, teilweise blutig und verrucht. Doch für mich kommt es nicht an erstgenannten Titel heran. Die Figuren sind weniger gut ausgearbeitet; hier steht eindeutig die Handlung im Vordergrund und zieht die Figuren mit.
Die Ideen, die Schwab hat, sind jedoch sehr kreativ und selbstverständlich werde ich irgendwann auch an dieser Reihe weiterlesen. Priorität hat sich jedoch keine. Da freue ich mich lieber auf "Vengeful", das ich demnächst einplane.
