Well this was certainly a experience. I think the biggest problem with this book is that it is marketed towards the wrong things. I won’t deny that the women in this book are powerful, strong, trendsetters, etc. for the most part but i will deny that they are “difficult” women. I make this assertion knowing how the author defines a “difficult woman”. For the most part I believe that the author personally liked these women or thought they were interesting so she jammed them into this book and tried to pass it off as a feminist read. Also a large lack of women of color who were also powerful, strong, trendsetters, etc. which is ridiculous because sometimes the author would even MENTION women that should have been in this book (in my opinion) more than the ones that were. Sorry to these ladies but Elizabeth Taylor, Amy Poehler, Rachel Maddow, Margaret Cho, and Lena Durham either your chapters really sucked or you just shouldn’t have been in here I can’t decide for sure but I walked away from those chapters unsatisfied
