I'm a huge mood reader and didn't quite feel in the mood for nonfiction, and my hold lapsed. Was a great book from what I'd read so far and will definitely be taking it out on another loan from my library when I'm more in the mood for food nonfiction.

This was so interesting in the beginning, but so many of the stories got to be more or less the same as the chapter before it.

It was not a bad book by any means, but it isn't something that I will complete.

An interesting exploration of the Chinese diaspora and how identity, culture, geography intertwine. It was good to be able to stop after each small chapter to reflect. It was rather slow reading, but some of that might have been my own preference. All in all, an interesting, informative read.
