A tragic discussion of Greatness as it dies. Right up my alley.

With Shakespeare I find that I‘ve either read a good & interesting play or managed to become emotionally invested and properly enjoyed the experience. If the latter doesn’t happen I usually learn to like the plays better the more I know about the scholarships surrounding them. Alas, here neither my emotions were significant stirred nor will my mind be stimulated by a lecture or seminar. Overall, then, I thought this was a good and interesting book.

My least favourite Shakespeare play I've read to date. I don't really enjoy reading and learning about Roman emperors and stuff, and I also didn't appreciate the references to mythology either. I guess you could say it just wasn't my cup of tea.
