This was a wonderful book full of mystery, adventure, and magical creatures. Those just happen to be some of my favorite things to read about. The visitor to the castle creeped me out a little, and I got a little frustrated with the characters for not realizing he was evil sooner. But, all in all, I think that this was a really good book.

I wish I could have enjoyed this one as much as I enjoyed the rest of George's books, but this one just felt like a mess. It didn't help that I read the first book far too long ago, but even still, I don't think that was the issue. It just seemed to fall apart at the end. It was really difficult to follow along with what was going on. It felt rushed and haphazard and nothing made much sense. I would have given the benefit of the doubt if it had felt like anything had happened the rest of the book, but it just seemed like a lot of nothing. It feels like this wasn't finished, like the next book should have been joined with this one, just so there would be enough happening. I still love George's books, and I loved all the characters in this one, but I felt this was an overall disappointment, which is a first for me and this author. I don't know if I will be able to continue this series as I suspect it is just too messy a world to write, but maybe I will. I guess we'll have to see.

I was apprehensive about reading the second book of the Castle Glower series. I grew up reading Tuesdays at the Castle and it was my absolute favorite book. I was worried that the rest of the series wouldn't be as good.

That couldn't be further from the truth! This book was whimsical and had fantastic world building while also further developing the characters. The plot was on par for Adult Fantasy books, but was told in a way that is engaging for younger audiences and easy to understand. I cannot recommend this book enough!

I loved this book...except for the cliffhanger ending. Luckily, I have access to the next book, but I still prefer to not have cliffhanger endings. I was great to revisit old friends like Celie and the Castle, and to get to know everyone a little better. I also really liked Rufus. This is a great story and I look forward to finishing it...in the next book.
