I haven’t cried this hard from a book in a longgggg time but wow, so so so sweet. TJ Klune is so good at writing the warm fuzzies without them feeling cheesy. This one really hit home with me after losing my mom earlier this year. I hope she has someone like this character crew.

Oh wow. Oh wow oh wow!!! This book is going to sit with me in the most wonderful way. Lots of sad and happy tears shed. Just a cozy, thoughtful, well written story with beautiful characters. Read it!!

The entire story deals with grief, death, and the aftermath of death. It's not particularly graphic, but most of the story involves ghosts and how they came to be.

This book was something I didn’t know I needed until I read it. I loved it. I cried. It brought me a sense of completion and hopefulness I didn’t realize I lacked. It’s funny, it’s sorrowful, and it makes me a little less afraid for the “after.”

That being said, take care of yourself if you choose to read this. It’s not always cheerful; the author explores death and all the unfiltered emotions that go with it. Despite that, I don’t think you will regret reading this book.
