I have a book hangover after blowing through this delightful book. I had no idea about sexual surrogates and learned quite a bit about how they help people.

This was ok, but I was left feeling like I should have liked it more than I did.

The sexual surrogacy was interesting to read about. What a difficult job! The delicacy required to navigate the situation if a client became overly attached - past the parameters of the arrangement - would be beyond my capabilities I think.

I liked Michael, he was very sweet. He may also be the first emo boy I've encountered in an MM story - the pushed forward hairstyle brings back so many memories!

Although Jame's childhood was a real gut punch and I felt terrible for him, I didn’t care much for him as an adult. I understand his trust issues and insecurities fine, but I didn’t enjoy his personality or particular type of snark in general. They did totally make sense as a couple though, which was nice.

And, odd title?

Holy cow! James's story is so heartbreaking! This book is filled with so much emotion. I absolutely loved it. What a beautiful story. Michael truly is an angel.

This one was spectacular, lots of interesting things to think about all woven together and really unique themes developed throughout. PS this new cover is WAY better than the first, I almost couldn’t even pick it up when the first cover was so atrocious.

Love and compassion

I had a hard time wrapping my head around sex surrogacy (this is the first of the series I’ve read), but as I got to know Michael, I could see that he had such a big heart and amazing compassion that it really was a good fit for him. What a perfect person to help someone struggling with self-image due to disfigurement or other issues gain their confidence, because he would never make them feel like less.

James was so prickly and defensive that my heart went out to him, and I was happy to see Michael eventually get past James’ distrust and grow close to him. I was cringing at the inevitable conflict, but I really think it made them stronger in the end.

This was a beautiful book about love and compassion, and I adored it.

Oooh, this was a fun story. I found Michael's profession very interesting because I'd no idea a sex surrogacy existed. The story itself was pretty damn good too and I enjoyed reading it thoroughly. I loved James' sarcasm and Michael's happy persona.

4.5 Stars - This was so lovely. Michael was perfect - except for withholding information from James. James was sad, but I liked his character. I loved the snippets of James' sci-fi story in between chapters, it is a book I would love to read as well.

This was such a sweet story. I have been waiting for Michael's story since we first met him in [b:The Trouble With Tony|18247525|The Trouble With Tony (Sex in Seattle, #1)|Eli Easton|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1374980414s/18247525.jpg|25699560]. Sex surrogacy has got to be hell on your love life and this book shows us why. Michael has so much love to give and when he meets his favorite author and goes all fanboy on him, he thinks that he has lost his chance. Plus there is the small detail of James being in a wheelchair and feeling like he is completely unattractive and unlovable. I loved the secondary characters. Marnie was hysterical and Tommy and Lem sweet. There was the perfect amount of heat and the little snippits of JC's book made me so want to read it!
