This is yet another book that I have enjoyed immensely by this author, it had been years since I've read sweet western romances and Susan has reignited my love of them this year. Susan is Australian like me and does her research for her stories well. I could almost see Texas in the 1800s, the land the flowers and the animals all came to life in my mind. The characters are well fleshed out, I felt their emotions, their sadness and their joy. Once again had tears a few times and chuckled a lot. Blindness, such a difficult subject to cover and I imagine more so in that era (Little House on the Prairie came to mind). The dilemmas and non acceptance of disabilities in the 1800s I imagine would be so hard to imagine. Well done, I look forward to reading more of this authors books.
