3.5 stars. This was a little too long and I only loved the final battle. I enjoyed the writing but hated the lead up to the end. It was lots of dreams and it felt like nothing was happening even when it was. I liked seeing her use siren powers more and maybe I’d have liked it more if I read it right after I finished the last one but overall I liked it, definitely have this author on my favourites list.

All that build up, for THAT to be your ending? Really? Come on. We can do better.

Callie is able to glamor fairies now, and you just have her glamor what's-his-face into drowing himself?!?!?!
It could have been so much more dramatic and epic. It was so lackluster.

Once again I'm looking for Temperance to showcase her powers rather than be the sassy sidekick.

pretty inconsistent

There were times when I thought that this was halfway decent and other times I thought it was horrendous. it drove me crazy how repetitive all the information was.. and not only was it repetitive it was told like it was brand new information every time.
Spoiler (ex. Whats her face circa book 2-"Des is dad is alive, oh no." Also whats her face circa book 3 "Oh no, Des's dad is not in his tomb where we buried his dead body which means he is omg ALIVE?!?!?"
also there were times where the book was inconsistent with previously learned information like the extent of Callie's powers or who the Thief ( ya know a pretty pivotal, extremely important part of the plot that should not be unclear in anyway was. Whatever. I didn't hate it but I wouldn't give that much stock because I hardly ever hate anything. It was not great by any means.
