Yet again ... I have to say poetry is not my thing. However I continue to explore the great poet in history in an attempt to learn. But this isn’t it

a boy's will is a book of poetics
by Robert Frost, nigh anthemic;
after I have read the final poem,
It's clear to my ears:
they've gone right through them.

Frost is always a joy, there is a reason he is so well known.

Even in this first book, Frost's voice seems mature and quite clear. It has a few of my favorite of his poems, though they are not his most famous, including Revelation and A Line Storm Song. He makes beautiful images, working through much of the same material (falling leaves, frost, rain, walks in the countryside), and he has a wonderful capacity with meter and rhyme. They almost never feel forced in any way, and seem to be as much a part of nature as the nature he describes.

I don't think I really understand poetry. I mean, I like Sylvia Plath, but that's because I'm a goth.
