The Red Arrow is a deeply introspective and personal book that somehow remains relatable throughout. The prose is intentional, clean and crisp and satisfying. It is, best of all, completely unlike anything I have read before. A strange journey, on the Frecciarossa (seat 12D, etc.), and one that I look forward to taking again.

3.5 i enjoyed it and i think brewer’s prose is great but at a certain point it felt repetitive and obsessed with itself
