Book 2 or The Girl who dared to Think continues the action started in book One. Liana is rockstar, love the action and the plot. If you like Hugh Howey's Wool and Silo you will likely enjoy this book.

It was ok, but I wasn’t too happy with the ending. I mean, I think that’s the problem with books with more than three or four books in a series: it gives the author the opportunity to screw up their situation (in this case specifically for Grey in this book) with plenty of time to fix it in later books. However, this makes it extremely difficultly if the books are as expensive as they are: over £10 which means the reader must be really invested in the story to be happy to get the ending and therefore spend all that money.

I wish there had been more romantic stuff between Liana and Grey…Forrest seems keen to drag their relationship out at an antagonist of pace; you can really tell it’s a slow burn compared to other books which are fast paced to keep the reader interested and invested.

I have it three stars because despite the lack of romance (except an interrupted make out scene), the characters and plot were pretty good. I think each character is written beautifully and the attention to detail with fights and description is great. But maybe too much considering the book happens over literally no more than three days and picks up directly after the ending of the first.

I definitely recommend the first one more, it was a good start to the series and kept me hooked, but the reason why it’s taken me so long to read this one is because the first few chapters were a bit of a drag, meaning it took me a while to get into it.

Wow, this book was incredible. The writing is very easy to follow but very descriptive at the same time! The ending really surprised me though, so anyone looking to read this book - be prepared for a twist!
