There is something eerily fantastic about this book. The poems come at me like a semi while reading. I loved the theme of exploring and discussing true crime. Some of poems had the eerie feeling and left me on the edge while others fell flat for me. This book was a solid 3.5 out of 5. I enjoyed it for the most part but at times it was hard to make it through the pages. I good but slightly uncomfortable (in a good way) read.

I can see why people love this collection, but I honestly got about a quarter of the way through and hate-read it until the end. The only poem I genuinely enjoyed was “Ode to My Bitch Face,” which is what brought it up that extra .5.
