I love to read this story again and again. The characters are all such complex individuals, their sadness and pain runs through all the pages while there's lots of situational comedy. And without ever using labels, this story is definitely one for the bisexuals <3

I don't usually log comic books or manga because it feels unfair to judge just a fraction instead of the completed product, but since I had to log it for the 2024 genre challenge, and this particular work may never be completed, I might as well do it like this.
I have high hopes for this manga! Starts very strong, with two really likable and different main characters, both with relatable and true to life experiences, relationships and motivations. The theme of love being interrupted/stalled for mundane reasons like moving away was especially refreshing to see represented. The Hachi plot got a liiittle goofy sometimes but I still enjoyed it.
The artstyle is also very appealing and does a great job at showcasing the fashion and aesthetics of the setting/era.
Excited to read more!

I loved the Nanas! I didn’t realize that this series would focus on two different storylines and I thought that was unique. Totally heartbreaking, I’ll definitely be continuing this series.
