Wasn't that impressed with this cookbook. My main criticism is that it relies too much on faux meats, of which I'm not a fan. There are only about 5 recipes that are exclusively whole foods. Pretty disappointed.

I haven't actually made any of the recipes yet, but a lot of them sound absolutely delicious. There's also a ton that look like they will appeal to my carnivore boyfriend. I will update my review once I've tried a few of the recipes (though with me, who knows how long that will take).

Some good comfort recipes and tips! Don't love the brand recommendations (daiya boo) so makes me a little weary of some recipes. Also not a fan of the food photography

Possibly the most appealing recipes I've ever seen in a vegan cookbook. I love looking at the recipes, but the mention of vegan cheese, veganaisse, Seitan, TVP...it all gives me the heeby jeebies.

This book could actually get me shopping. I mean, the "fried" chick'n is staring me in the face, saying, "You have spring roll wrappers. Do it. Dooo it."

Shut up, fried chick'n. I don't even like cashews.

Where can I buy Chick'n down here....::wanders off::

I love the concept, but none of the recipes really drew me in.

This is an interesting book.....written by a guy who tells us in the introduction that he never made vegan food before...but somehow was hired by Ellen Degeneres and Portia to be their private chef. It was a moment of enlightenment for him.... this collection of recipes will definitely make you think again about how tasty food can be. And still be healthy for you.
Awesome book....excellent recipes, easy to follow and make and a whole lot of deliciousness await you within.... Dig in!

Maybe 2 1/2 stars. Some good recipes, but I'm not nearly as impressed with this vegan cookbook as the last one. A lot of the recipes here call for pre-packaged vegan products rather than making them yourself, which should appeal to a lot of people.

This cookbook is amazing. From brand recommendations to gourmet dinners that will impress and soups that will comfort this book has it all. Also I will buy anything featuring Ellen, luckily it has super great vegan food and beautiful pictures too.

I was interested in trying a good handful of these recipes and was also inspired to hear that Ellen and Portia are vegan 🌱
