If you like predictability and a good old detective in a small town mystery this is for you! This was a very homespun tale and was my first exposure to the Kurt Wallander series. It is a very quick read!

I thought I had read all the Wallander books, so finding this gem was a stoke of good fortune. It was wonderful to spend a few hours with my old friend Kurt.

loved it. this book didn't have the pages needed to get bogged down in boring taciturn story jokes. instead it cruised along with a great pace and vibrancy. I liked the relevancy to the treaty of the series and the everyday feeling it had. Nothing word to our, just a good police story.

This was more of a novella. Somewhat dull at points.

My only complaint - too short! I would have loved to read more.
