Historical fiction that accounts a courageous woman who helped Jewish children flee the Nazis in WWII. A book that I held to my chest in a hug after finishing. A page turner that I read in <48 hours. Deeply moving and educational. 12/10 recommend.

I really enjoyed this. The story was good. The historical element was engrossing. The only thing I really didn’t like was Eva’s mother and Eva’s interactions with her. It came off as somewhat contrived. Creating drama for the sake of drama. Or maybe I just found her an irksome character. The nets at the end were interesting and make me want to look further into real life WW2 forgers.

I was hesitant to read this one since I’ve already read so many WW2 historical fiction books, but this one kept my attention the whole time and I enjoyed it!
