4.5 stars. I really enjoyed this contemporary friends to lovers romance. It was interesting to see Reid, the main male character, as the more intimate and expressive one in the relationship and Mille, the female character, struggling to open up and share information about herself. I like how the authors included modern dating in this book and loved all the supporting characters that made the group of friends that much better. I’ve enjoyed every Christina Lauren book I’ve read so far; they are always sweet, funny and well-written.

Easy breezy romance about friends falling in love.

I’ve read this author before and even though the stories are completely similar they work for me because they deliver what I want from this kind of book.

I always know when I’m reading a good romance because they keep me up past my bedtime and this one did. I stayed up late to make sure the love birds got a resolution to their drama even though I knew it was silly. I just had to know.

Man this book made me feel things. I really liked this book and am so glad I read it. It made me sad to the point of tears but so happy at other points for character growth. Love anything by these girls.

The main character Millie got so annoying. I liked the friends to lovers storyline but the whole communication in this book being on one person made her pretty easy to dislike. Might be my least favorite by them so far.

I thought this was fine, but not something that I would revisit. It was interesting at first, but I found myself getting more and more frustrated with Millie and her thought process. Also super rude of Reid to expect her to help him with the app stuff, but that was resolved relatively quickly.

I loved this book from start to finish! I really identified with one of the main characters Millie. She is a professor of criminology, has four male best friends, and has a hard time opening up and sharing her feelings with anyone.

Christina Lauren sure knows how to write a love interest that is swoon worthy. Reid is the sweet, smart, and gorgeous guy that you wish is not just a fictional character! Their friends Ed, Chris, and Alex are hilarious, and their friendship is one of my favorite things in this book. Their friendship is what others hope to find and have!

This is the type of book that you cannot put down because you have to find out what will happen next. Online dating can be tough, but it is even more difficult when you find yourself falling for your best friend, who does not know you are actually the girl he has been messaging. Sometimes it is easier to really open up to someone through a screen, then to their face and this is especially true when it comes to Millie.

Overall, this is another must read romance by Christina Lauren! I definitely recommend this book to anyone that is looking for an entertaining and relatable romance. It is witty, fun, and you will devour it in one sitting because these characters really have a way of drawing you in.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you Netgalley and Gallery Books for giving me the chance to read and review this book early!
