I didn't realize how big of a sucker I am for a whodunit. This is the first Agatha Christie novel I have read, and I enjoyed it tremendously. She does a great job of gradually building to the satisfying conclusion while keeping many suspects in the running for a long while. I'm confused as to how Gwenda and Giles are seemingly able to set aside their entire schedules to solve a murder mystery (What kind of life do you have to be leading to do that?), but this was easy to overlook to enjoy the story. I was also not entirely satisfied with the motivation and development of the killer in this story, although I suppose it is believable.
Minor: Death, Drug abuse, Emotional abuse, Infidelity, Mental illness, Suicide, Toxic relationship, Medical content, Death of parent, Murder, and Alcohol
