This book made me really sad. I had to read it for a class in my university but I ended up reading it as a book that I would have picked up to read by myself. I couldn't put it down and I spent many hours I should have been sleeping reading more about Jacobs' life.
My heart is filled with sadness every time I read about slavery. It's something so terrible. It's so good that some people were so nice to her understanding that human beings aren't objects.

I loved this book because it filled me with many feelings. I believe I will re-read it soon.
