I did like this book and I'd like to revisit it in the future. I've been getting better at taking a book for what it is and acknowledging that my struggles in seeing where the story is coming from or going to are not the burden of the writer. I did struggle to see where this book was coming from and going to, until the very end when things became clear. I do really like T. Kingfisher's take on Sleeping Beauty (apparently it's not the first, though would be published under a different name, I believe), I'm finding I enjoy fairy tales more when they've been turned on their heads.
