Definitely my least favorite book of the series. Felt like just a rush ending for everything, tying up loose ends more than anything. Likely would have been more satisfied if they just had to stay on the run or something. Things were kind of just thrown together in a haphazard way, which I get cause it’s like book 6 or something, but it was just kind of bad
Graphic: Death of parent
Moderate: Sexual content and Death of parent
Minor: Sexual assault and Sexual harassment

this is another one of those finally finish a book series i started as a teen in order to clean out my shelves type read and boy, it did not age well.
aside from the sexism, multiple counts of sexual assault as a plot device, and casual bits of racism and transphobia sprinkled in, the pop culture references are too much and annoying as hell, too. and, though i might just be nostalgic about the earlier books as i read them many, many years ago, this final one feels like a bit of wasted potential? to me, the (cheesy) romance completely overshadowed the actual story and the finale was kind of anticlimactic and just…. lame at times, which is a shame bc the original premise was kind of cool. sooo nostalgia stars?
