The art is adorable and the concept as modern urban fantasy is great... but sometimes the story line/plot transitions are jarring and clunky and I get lost. Its fun, if nothing else.

Eh. I still like the art and some of the side characters, but I think the initial "charm" (pun intended) of the first one has worn off for me. the plot again made very little sense and was resolved in a weird way. the comic side plot again really wasn't working for me. the attempts at worldbuilding with ghosts calling "boo" appropriation honestly just felt like it was mocking people who care about real world appropriation. and the main characters really don't make a whole lot of sense. I think I'm done with this series, which bums me out. I'd rather find a story with a diverse cast that's actually written by a more diverse group of writers.

A friend loaned me this graphic novel. It was so cute and GAY and fun! Fantasy beings drawn beautifully and adorably - a nod to Neopets - I think. (I may or may not still check on my own every once in a while.) It made me feel fuzzy inside. I will be looking into more of these.

While I love the world and some of the characters, the storylines are a little hectic and the romance isn't really working for me. I'm not sure if I'll read Volume 3 if there is one.

It's cute, and I'm glad I bought it. I like the tiny touches and details.

But again, I'm not sure what happened and I'm not sure why anything happened. Since this happens with most of the graphic novels I read, I really think it's me and not this.

This series is so disappointing. The art is fantastic, has such cute, diverse characters, the world is really neat, but the main “romance” between the female werewolves is toxic. Selena has anger and jealousy issues, and can be very unkind at times. They “make up” without any actual growth or changed behavior, and Julie is made to feel bad about things she shouldn’t. Yet this isn’t actually addressed as an issue and no one seems to see how unhealthy it is. Additionally, the story is so disjointed and doesn’t explain why/how certain things happen.
