i wanted to start my ashley poston journey because so many people rave about her books. i absolutely love this book, one of the reasons being it is very similar to my favorite tv show ‘six feet under’. there were so many parallels that i spotted and even a brief mention of the show so i appreciate that !

but wow this book just felt like a warm hug? like suffocating but all the more comforting. it deals with grief beautifully and there’s genuine connection and romance.

i cant wait to read another one of piston’s books :)

This was surprisingly deep at moments for a book FULL of tropes. I liked the plot even if it was very predictable. The characters were not super memorable but I liked them well enough. There were moments I wanted more from the plot or characters though. It was a cute and quick read that centers around death and love.

It's my second Ashley Poston's read and I really liked it. I saw a review saying it's boring but I didn't feel this way. I like the every day kind of books where there's no need for huge events or else. 

I liked the way death and everything about what brought to. It kind of brought beauty out of it.

The second half was stronger than the first. I enjoyed the character development throughout the story and seeing Florence gain confidence.
