Holy cow. This was an amazing issue! Captain Marvel #5 wraps up the first major plot of the series, and it did a phenomenal job of it. I loved everything about this issue, to be honest.
I love that Kelly Thompson has been embracing events that happened in Carol Danvers’ history. More than that, she’s been bringing them back and giving Carol a chance to finally face her demons and be at peace with it all. I honestly couldn’t have asked for more.
The girl power in this issue was amazing, as were all of the cameos. But that was probably obvious. I loved the fight in this issue, and the way it all wrapped up.
Best of all? They’re already setting up for the next plot. Yes please!

Despite me resisting liking this title, man did I get some feels over Som and Rogue and even Captain Marvel.

I just hate knowing how predictably this was going to end - the kiss, augh i need PIZZA because CIVILIZATION and then oh no another threat. I'm not optimistic about what this title is going to offer because I have the HIGHEST standards for anything to do with Carol Danvers.
