I received a copy of If You Want to Be a Butterfly by Muon Thi Van with illustrations by Andrea Armstrong from Kids Can Press in exchange for an honest review.
If You Want to Be a Butterfly is a beautifully illustrated picture book that takes us on a journey of a butterfly - but in reverse - as we see that in order to become a butterfly, a lot of events must happen and be endured. The poetic language and the whimsical illustrations will inspire readers to connect to the butterfly on its journey, while also learning about said journey.
