Please check your trigger warnings, this one is DARK.

Daisy Murray and her 4 best friends thought nothing would take them from each other, but an evil in their small town had different plans for them. Daisy was wiped from their lives, from the world. No record of her exists anymore and everyone has tried to convince these 4 boys that she was never real. 10 years later, they each get a letter. Daisy is back and she is summoning them back to their hometown to take down the sick people that thought they could do whatever they wanted to her and others with no repercussions. She's going to burn this town to the ground, and they're going to help her.

If you're looking for a book that has Mindf*ck series vibes, a vengeful FMC on the warpath, and a Why Choose with 4 men who would do anything for the her, THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU.
Daisy was such an unhinged FMC and I was rooting for her the entire time. She deserved every bit of revenge she brought on those people. Don't even get me started on her men. They're all a little messed up in their own ways, but it works in this dynamic SO well. I'm so glad I read this book and it definitely deserves more hype.

First, this book is completely unhinged, and you definitely need to read the content warnings before picking it up. It's not going to be for everyone, and it does go to some really dark, unhinged places.
Talk about a strong FMC! This girl is thrown out and forced to grow into this wild, badass FMC. Don't get me wrong, she goes through absolute hell to get to that point. It's genuinely unbelievable everything she's suffered, and it's wild seeing everything that happens here because we have some very twisted, messed-up people as side and main characters. Plus, some genuinely dark and twisted scenes here make you question everything. I want to read more by this author because I'm curious about what else they have or if this was just a one-off thing.

This was recommended and compared to the MindFuck series.
Though they have similar themes, this is way darker on page and way spicier.

My heart broke for Kingston and the things that happened to him and Daisy I would also burn the world down

Overall I liked this book, Drake and Kingston were my favourite MMCs.
I tried to like Wyatt but I think necrophilia might be my dark romance red flag
I do think that the ending was somewhat not as exciting as I was hoping for.
I think for the things that Francis and Ronney and really everyone else in the cult put them through, their deaths were too quick and simple compared to earlier characters who had “less” blood on their hands.

revenge first, romance second

I wouldn’t consider this a second chance romance considering this group were kids/teens and none were in any established relationships at the beginning. Second chance friendships? Sure.

This is a more plot heavy RH. The story is focused more on the FMC’s revenge and the romance aspect is definitely secondary to the plot. So if you are here for a typical smut heavy RH this isn’t it, but the spice is pretty good when we get it. Sometimes the book got a little too out there for me.. how Daisy managed to plan and scheme to that degree unnoticed for years while still dealing with severe PTSD is a bit.. outlandish. And some of the guys do some pretty psychotic stuff and are into some questionable things.. some made me laugh because of how crazy it was and some just made me cringe.

I felt like some of the guys and their romantic connections with Daisy were developed better than others. Not sure if any of it was done on purpose or what… Poor Owen, I feel like he got the least amount of romance with Daisy out of all the guys even though it was written they were all equally obsessed and in love with her. The others had multiple spicy scenes and intimate/love profession moments and he got the bare minimum. I’m used to all people in a RH having an equal playing field and their own unique but strong connection. To me it felt that Drake and Kingston were written to have a real connection with Daisy. With Wyatt it was like he was just written for comedic relief and Owen was needed to drive plot points forward with his tech skills.

Overall this was a solid read. I enjoyed the book for the revenge plot. I’ve read better developed RHs which is why I’m giving it a 3.

Just a spoonful of sugar

Loved the storyline and the revenge idea. Every guy/demon was different and I liked the dynamic.
I didn't love some of the spice scenes though...
I have no issue with polygamy or three/four/fivesomes but Daisy had been through a lot of trauma, therefore some of the spice scenes where unnecessary cruel. Loved the parts where they adored her and couldn't get enough of her, but other parts, for example the punishment, threw me off a little.
Overall I liked the story and rated it 3,5 stars. The Mary Poppins song however will never be the same again.
