Loved how this book answered a lot of outstanding questions. Like The Enigma, I found the first half to be quite slow, but it picks up around 55% and then it was hard to put down.
I love how the two couples come together and the bond they form, they are much stronger together than working solo, but I found Beau and Rose to be overly whiny for waaay too long When they first came back to Miami.
I'm reading these back to back, not having to wait for the next release, so if I had read them more spread out, I may feel different.
All in all k do still think JEM brought her A game.
There is a 4th and final book for this series which I still need to read but I feel like things could have ended with this book.

Just like a movie!

These books just keep getting better and better. It’s a nonstop ride that is so visual it’s more like watching a movie than reading a book. Jodi is killing it with this series!

The boys are back in Miami to put an end to The Bear once and for all. But Miami isn’t happy to have The Brit and The Enigma back. With many attempts on everyone’s lives, these two form an unlikely alliance and no one is ready for it.

We also get to see an alliance between Rose and Beau, and I’m here for it, they aren’t letting their overbearing men keep them out of the action and it’s amazing to see.

This series is fun, it’s gritty, it’s violent, and it’s sexy. But it’s also has emotion and devotion between these couples. I am having a great time reading it. You should read it, but it has to be read in order, the last book will be out in March and I’m really excited for it!

1. The Brit
2. The Enigma
3. The Resurrection
4. The Rising
5. The American (March 2024)

Danny Black is back and with him he brought my faith that between him and the Enigma will find out who the bear is. This book was a whirlwind of epic proportions. It starts where the Engima left off. with James Kelly, the enigma, finds out that Danny Black is not dead. Danny comes from beyond the grave, so to speak, to learn that he was betrayed by someone because now people know he isn’t really dead This book is all about them working together to find the Bear and take down is operation. This book also deals with a lot of trauma and depression. The audiobook for this was amazing and it has all the narrators from the previous two books. I really love that you switch between all the couples (Danny and Rose; James and Beau) it offers a fresh intake into their world. Also, the cliffhanger at the end. My god I need the bear gone.

James and Beau go to St. Lucia to bring The Brit back from the dead. A war is brewing in Miami and James and Beau need Danny and Roses help to stop The Bear. The Bear is the one to slaughter James’ family and killed Beau’s mom.

This one had me laughing out loud. Rose and Beau take no shot from their men and Danny and James are always pissing them off…and vice versa! This was a crazy ride from start to finish. So much is happening and yet the steam was so perfect with 2x the couples! I hate my theory on who The Bear is, I can’t wait to see if I’m right!
