I was already obsessed with this show, but this book made me much more appreciative of the technical aspects that make this such a game-changing piece of theater. And the inclusion of the full script with annotations from Dave Malloy -- fast becoming one of my favorite composers -- is so full of enthusiasm for Tolstoy that I want to pick up War and Peace sooner rather than later.

Got this book for a steal at Barnes & Noble and honestly even without the annotated script & CD it’s a treasure... Really wish I had gotten to see this live!

A great document. A little more promotional than the Hamiltome, since it was written before the Broadway opening, but makes up for that with its variety of cast and crew interviews. I particularly liked the article on set design. I remain firmly in the market for annotated librettos and lyric collections, of which this is a fine example.
