Loved it! Very inspirational, a lesson in business that you will not get in a business school. Branson is charismatic, down-to-earth, open and honest in this book. It was amazing the type of oppositions he had to get through to get to where he is today. A must read for any entrepreneur.

Richard Branson, he has a common trait like other successful businessmen, trying every possible business, and a never give up attitude. From a magazine publisher to music company, then music company to airplane business. Virgin cola, virgin life-insurance, virgin bank, virgin trains what not, this man is incredible, he put hands on every business idea that comes in front of his table. No wonder from the airplane he next aimed at stars, unfortunately the Virgin Galactic and related business adventures are not mentioned in this book. I was very keen to read more about his recently launched business ideas, this book has only stories between 1950-1993 :( Expecting a second part of this book to know more about his business endeavours that happened after 1993.
"If somebody offers you an amazing opportunity but you are not sure you can do it, say yes - then learn how to do it later!" - Richard Branson.

I listened to the abridged version of this as an audiobook, read by Richard himself, which I can thoroughly recommend. Richard recounts, stories and adventures from life, it's written simply and is has good pacing. Gives some interesting insights into areas I knew little about e.g. airline industry.

Short and fun stories of starting out. Mixes in his adventures with business deals, and you get a sense of how lucky and instinctual he is.

A fascinating telling of Branson's life and the interesting bits about his businesses. Well worth the read (but skip the history of Virgin at the back!)
