Continuation of the Janie series. This time it mainly focused on Reeve who has gone to college and become a DJ. He uses his time at the station to broadcast "janies" which are stories about Janie's kidnapping.

I found this one kind of boring. The story did not really progress. Reeve, who this book is centered on, is boring to me.

This series has done a great job exploring different moral dilemmas and this book is no different. Reeves goes off to college and uses his knowledge of the Janie Johnson case to level himself up in his radio career. He know this will upset Jamie but continues doing it anyway. This book explorers the consequences of these actions.

Maybe I'm just going soft but I really loved Janie in this book. I'd been waiting for her to find her voice and this book was it! Love it :)

The third in the Face on the Milk Carton series finds Janie back in Connecticut with the family she's grown up with. Things are starting to settle down in Janie's life and she's developing a better relationship with her New Jersey family. Her biggest problem now is that her boy-next-door boyfriend has moved to Boston for college and she misses him tremendously. Reeve is trying to find his niche in college and in life and is drawn to the college radio station where one night, when faced with dead air, he suddenly begins to tell Janie's story to the faceless listners. Before Reeve realizes what he's doing, he's in too deep and doesn't know how to get out...
I liked this one as well. We find the characters growing up and really coming into their own. Janie matures as she finally comes to terms with her situation and finds that there is a big part of her that is a Spring after all. Looking forward to the last installment.

So I never got this far into the series when I read these in middle school. Man this one shocked me. Janie's life is hard enough, finding out she had been kidnapped as a child, but now to have her boyfriend publicize it on radio... Not cool dude! I'm excited to finish the series and find out what happens next to Janie Johnson!

Continuing on in the book series and life of the characters...nothing shocking or overly exciting. An ok read.
