I’ve read the whole series, but here I’ll tell you my thoughts on this book, then on the whole series. <spoilers> Well…I don’t really know! I recently finished this one,and I love it! I liked the way M.T.Graves or I can’t remember it…I dunno, almost took Bunnicula from us! *gasp* Of course, Howie, like usual, gave us exactly our daily dose of jokes and puns. I think the is good. And now the thoughts on the books. I love these books! Younger kids who excel in reading,or just anyone who likes mysteries and animals will like this book.

I remember reading this book when I was a kid in elementary school, found it in my local used book shop, and had to pick it up. Not going to lie, I used to be terrified of these books, but I still read them because I secretly loved being scared. Rereading it, it was a fun book with so many Poe allusions (which were amazing since he is my favorite Poe-t, lol). I can say for a fact I liked these books much more when I was a child, but it was still fun to revisit my childhood books. So, yeah, nostalgic read number three of the year.

This was okay, and I would probably have rated it at 2 stars except that I am filled with nostalgia and so that buoys me along. There wasn't much to remember about this book, except that it's about RL Stine, which amused me. Also Chester is amazing and Howie is amusing, but there weren't a lot of lines that made me chuckle and the book seemed to lack some of the magic of the original series. (Maybe I'm getting too old???)

That was really sweet. As the last book in the series it was filled with melancholy and farewells. I liked how much the characters themselves and their relationships changed and evolved. This one felt a little too ridiculous, not a fave but still good.

No my favorite of the Bunnicula series, but fun nevertheless. My daught (9) loved it and I'm planning on reading a collection of Poe's poems aimed at younger readers with her soon. This was a good intro to that.

I read most of this series as a child. There were some really great puns in this book and I love puns. Chester the Cat is very paranoid and Harold the dog is our narrator. Everyone is worried that Bunnicula is going to be kidnapped by the author of popular creepy animal books M. T. Graves. There are some cute things in the story and now that I'm an adult the story is rather simple. Good memories though. I do like that James Howe referenced himself with J. K. Rowling; hey why not. I think kids 7-10 will still like this story. Who doesn't love talking animals.

In the 7th and final book in the Bunnicula series it follows the story of how Pete Monroe meets his favorite author M.T. Graves.
Afte Pete Monroe writes to his favorite author M.T. Graves who created his and Howie's favorite book series FleshCrawlers. Toby his brother mocks him and thinks he's uncool until one day Pete receives a letter back explaining that his letter was chosen out of many applicants to be entered to win a school visit from M.T. Graves himself which excited most people besides Chester who is suspicious of the author and his creepy ways.
M.T. Graves also notes that he would like to stay at the Monroe family's house to spend quality time with the Monroe pets which Pete mentioned then family pets weird characteristics. Chester tries to spook Harold and Howie with all his suscpions such as how in the FleshCrawlers series animals always get harmed and thinks M.T. Graves is trying to get to them to harm them causing Chester to go into his own investigation.
Going into the book I must say I was a bit sad to be leaving behind our familiar friends Harold, Chester, Howie.. and Bunnicula. Mainly the first 3. Harold is now a old dog with arthritis but had a final tale to tell.
This book gave everything I could've asked for in a series wrap up. It had the spooky elements I enjoy, witty and funny moments, and clever storyline.
I liked how there were many Poe references and other author mentions.
Although I hate to say good bye to the characters I came to enjoy in this short children's book series I hope to read more of James Howe's in the future and I hope to see him put out more books soon. :)
