The tips and tricks felt very dated and I didn’t learn anything i didn’t already know unfortunately.

Having read Stanny's OVERCOMING UNDEREARNING a couple of times, I found SECRETS OF SIX FIGURE WOMEN well-intentioned but ultimately disappointing. Perhaps it's because there was no new information here. And having been published in 2004, the book felt outdated. It also focuses a great deal on the corporate world, while I craved more focus on entrepreneurship.

In the past couple of years, I've worked hard to change my money mindset and relationship with my earning potential. I've delved deep into all the "secrets" Stanny explores here, and as a result the information within this book felt basic and superficial. I can see how a woman who's spent her entire career in the corporate world and who isn't familiar with these concepts would have an eye-opening experience if this book lands in her hands at just the right time. However, anyone looking for more advanced strategies and practical approaches to earning more should go straight to OVERCOMING UNDEREARNING.

Some really really great information in here that is inspiring and useful without being overwhelming.

Would recommend, especially for those in corporate positions.

Awesome!

I recommend this book to anyone who feels like they are “stuck” and need a little motivation. You won’t be disappointed.

I had no idea how old this book was when I started reading it, so I almost feel like it's not fair for me to review it.
This book was obviously written in a very different economic and social environment, and it's written to women of a completely different generation. I also think that this was probably targeted to women who are mid-career.
I still think there were some useful principles in here, particularly from the standpoint of attitude and self esteem, that are still relevant today. But when the most recent statistics are from 20 years ago, it's hard to find a book like this relatable.

I thought this was generally excellent career and life advice, especially for women. The author manages to carve out space between balancing personal life and career success well while acknowledging specific pressures to being a women. A worthwhile read for all.
