I love reading about Breed, I really do, and I'm glad there is a fourth instalment of the series, but in all honesty, this feels rushed. Breed has a new lease of life, a young body that can take the punishment their adventures entail, and instead of the grizzled old warrior from the last book it's back to square one with a touch more introspection (but not much). It's an interesting exploration of the differences between the past Breed left and the one following the changes made in previous instalments, and I liked the way a lot of things have changed but human (and thoasa etc) nature remains essentially the same. There are, unfortunately, several glaring grammar issues, you're/your mix-ups and Tobias Vulsones mysteriously gains an apostrophe at a few points (Vulsone's). I enjoyed it, but I feel it could have done with more polish before a full-on release.
