This book brings the JOY!! I ADORED this book!! I laughed REALLY LOUD, I cried and cheered. I adored the characters, especially the fact that Kara wrote historical romance. I loved the twists, the friends and LOVED DUKE MOST OF ALL!! It's the happy pick up you need!!

This is my favorite trope which is second chance lovers. It also 2 had other tropes added to it which was enemies to friends and close proximity. I really liked this book it showed them resolving their issues from the past and not giving up their future dreams as well. I thought it was so funny. I really enjoyed this story.

I really did not enjoy this story from the jump. Then it got a little better and then it got ridiculous again. The banter between the two main characters was a little too polished and not believable as a real off the cuff conversation. I just didn't believe that there was that much tortured past between the two of them and I think there was just too much explaining the drama trying to make me believe it.

Ultimately, I didn't finish the story because it didn't draw me in enough that I wanted to keep listening to it, so I kept pausing it and then my library rental ran out. I don't have any intention of renting it again to finish listening to it.

Allora non sono una fan dei second chance love , mi annoiano di solito, ma io non leggo le trame prima di iniziare i libri nel 90% dei casi quindi non lo sapevo lo fosse (mi piace il rischio sisi) comunque per essere palesemente di questa trope, non è male, è scorrevole e carino… almeno fino a che non si arriva al problema a 2/3 del libro, quello ha rotto la mia voglia di valutare positivamente il libro.

Tu mi basi la loro precedente rottura e i traumi di entrambi per vari fatti e mazzi

e poi il ca**o di problema che porta alla rotti dei due di nuovo è il

tradimento

??? Mi stai prendendo in giro? Sei consapevole che non ha senso e che anche se “giustificato” con metodi un po’ a caso per attenuare la gravità della cosa questo denoterebbe (nella realtà) o una rottura netta tra i due senza più quel dramma da parte di lei (per assurdo la aiuterebbe a superare la sua storia probabilmente) o con traumi ancora più grossi o una relazione super tossica
